These terms govern your use of Briefcut, the free script-scoring tool at briefcut.app, operated by Aetheris Holdings Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 17365139). By using Briefcut, you agree to these terms.

The feedback is a tool, not a guarantee

The score and feedback Briefcut gives you are generated automatically and are intended as a helpful starting point for improving your script — not a guarantee of how any video will actually perform once published. We don't warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any score or feedback for your specific purpose.

What Briefcut is

Briefcut lets you paste a short-form video script and receive an automated hook-strength score and feedback, generated using AI. It's provided free, without requiring an account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to send requests to Briefcut outside of normal, individual human use of the web page.
Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any rate limit or usage restriction in place.
Submit content that is illegal, that infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have the right to submit.
Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to Briefcut or the systems behind it.

We may block or restrict access, without notice, for anyone we reasonably believe is violating these terms or placing unreasonable load on the service — this exists to keep a free tool free for everyone else.

Your content

You retain all rights to any script text you submit. We don't claim ownership of it. As described in our Privacy Policy, your script is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response and is not stored by us afterward.

No warranty, limitation of liability

Briefcut is provided "as is," free of charge, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aetheris Holdings Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, Briefcut. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

Changes to the service

Briefcut is an early-stage tool and may change, be rate-limited further, be temporarily unavailable, or be discontinued at any time, without guarantee of continued availability.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Briefcut after a change means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent change.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
